Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American Actor, best known as a character on the popular TV show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. The first time he became interested in acting was during his college years. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active on film and television but it was his character on the smaller screen that earned him a cult fans. He has the ability to portray both characters from the side of the police as well as the different. This is what has made him so popular. His first television show, he was the role of a serial killer. Then, he played the role of an NYPD detective. The small screen performances of his are rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. His most attractive facial feature is thought to be his piercing blue eyes. They are believed to be a trademark and have aided in depicting rough characters with charisma. He was named in People's magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
